Today I am having a refresher course in blog posts and website design. I'm going a little slow on the website on the whole, but thought surely one little update here would be easy enough. Hopefully,....
As some of you were aware, Charles and I had some life changes in 2020. COVID-19 came along and shook up everyone's world and thankfully we were spared any ill effects from this world health crisis. It was a year of increased doctor visit's. A year of moving from one home to another. A year of welcoming a new grandchild, and a year of moving my mother into our home. We were concerned that we would not be able to continue with our goat operations going forward, and made the decision in late summer of 2020 to hang up our operations and become "town people". By 2021, we realized life is looking good! Our health issues had improved, my mother is holding her own and helping us keep up with the Atlanta Braves ball schedule. If only she could find a way to help them win a few more games!! |
Our bucks are in great shape and having bred a few does in the summer of 2020, they did not notice the operational hiatus. Now that summer is back in swing and they are enjoying the company of the ladies again, lucky for us - they are not bearing any hard feelings ;).
Now we are busy with the task of restocking the doe herd. And we are having lots of fun doing it!
Thank you all for your continued confidence in our program! This life is an awesome journey and we are enjoying the ride!!!
